At Hagadone we believe strongly in conducting a business that is responsible to the environment we all live in and share. That’s why our routine operations are interwoven with proactive environmental initiatives like our Recycling Program, MailBack and PaperBack programs, natureOffice and Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification and compliance, and support of the Hawaiian Legacy Hardwoods reforestation efforts on the Big Island, on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island. It’s a lot for one local company to shoulder in addition to being a dependable partner with Hawaii businesses, but the benefits of a clean future for future generations is worth it.
Local Roots, Global Presence
We are Hawaii’s largest commercial printer utilizing the most diverse selection of printing presses on the island. We do all the work. We fold, bind, insert and mail, to finish the job right. We believe in variety. Our business ranges from Hawaii and the mainland, to all over the Pacific. With our dedicated staff of 108 professionals, we work hard to embody the Aloha spirit. We are local people with a global focus.
Our PaperBack program is an eco-friendly effort involving you and us. We want you to return your unwanted out-of-date print jobs to us so we can have the paper recycled. At places where we make regular deliveries, we’ll even pick up the unwanted materials. For those who come to our facility, we’ll have a convenient drop off area where you can unload. Our PaperBack program closes the loop in the recycling process. Once shredded and baled, the huge bundles are shipped back to the mill to be made into new paper.
Hagadone is committed to the cradle-to-cradle approach – returning used products back into the manufacturing cycle so they can be recycled and used. Our MailBack program provides a way for you to return unwanted magazines, catalogs, circulars, flyers and other mail to us. Return your mail (paper only please) to us on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 8am-noon. We’ll shred the mail and send it back to the paper mill, where it will be recycled into new paper.
Drive-Up. Drop-Off. We accept glossy magazines, catalogs, brochures, mailers, and phone books.
IMPORTANT: Please remove magnets on phone books, hardback covers, rubberbands, metal & spiral bindings, carbon paper, photographs, blueprints, shrink wrap, adhesives (labels, Post-Its, stamps, tape). Staples are OK, but all other metals must be removed to avoid shredder jamming.
