FORMAT: PDF (portable document format) is the preferred format for file submission.
If native or working files are submitted, please be sure to send all supporting materials along with the document (i.e. graphics, photos, fonts, etc). PDF Settings should be the following:
- Single Page (not spreads)
- Bleeds set at .125
- No Printer Marks
BLEED: All files should be built with 1/8 inch (.125”) bleed on each side. Bleeds allow us to print your piece slightly oversized and cut it down to its exact size. This gives a final seamless appearance of the image “bleeding” off the edges.
SAFE AREA: Leave at least a 1/4” (.25 inch) space for text and border lines inside the bleed line for correct cutting of your finished product.
TYPE: All type should be created in 100% black only.
This will ensure that type will print crisply. Cyan 0%, Magenta 0%, Yellow 0%, Black 100%.
COLOR: For 4-color process printing, all color elements must be specified in CMYK (not RGB). When creating
rich black (not used for type), we recommend the following formula: Cyan 40%, Magenta 30%, Yellow 30%, Black 100%.
IMAGES: Minimum of 300dpi at final size. Graphic format preferred is EPS or TIFF. Saving files as JPEG could degrade image quality. Make sure any black and white images are saved in grayscale, not RGB.
FONTS: All fonts must be embedded in the PDF.
FINAL FILES: Pages to be submitted as single-page PDFs. Pages are to be named with project name and page number.
